Mexico - The Pyramids

Mexico is such an inspiring country. I always come back refreshed, in love and in awe from what I see: a country with so much diversity, culture and beauty. I wanted to share some of the grandeur of my country with the boys, so we went to the pyramids. Granted, they weren't impressed with the fact that these HUGE stone triangles were built by hand, that this was at one point in time, the fourth largest city in the world, that the pyramids are aligned with the moon and sun, or that there were human sacrifices on top (well, that got Mateo's interest a bit). But, they were totally into climbing them! So up we go! Their little legs got them all the way to the top and back down! And on the way back home, they fell asleep! :)

Robin Hood meets Batman - Mateo was fascinated with the bow and arrow - a boy at last!
