There are so many wonderful things for children to do in Mexico! The Sunday after we arrived we went out to Mexican-style lunch: at 2pm with Abuelita Geno! The boys went to the "Chiqui Club" and had a blast playing soccer, drawing, cooking, etc. while the food and then dessert arrived. It was a win-win situation - they had fun and we adults could enjoy a cocktail and talk!!!
The next day we went to the "City of Children" - a wonderful museum concept (100% Mexican) begun by the cousin of a very good friend of mine. Children are given an amount of money when they pay their entrance fee. They decide how to use that money - they can use it all up while doing certain activities (climbing buildings, getting manicures, etc.) or they can earn more while doing chores (building and painting houses, cleaning windows, training to be superheroes, etc.). At the end of our stay, the boys had earned a lot of money which they were able to trade in for toys.
Cleaning windows.
