Mateo spent this past weekend with lots of friends and exposed to all three languages. On Saturday, we went to Marc's 2nd birthday party in Rockridge. Mati was very happy playing soccer in the garden, painting the deck with chalk and speaking in Spanish and English. On Sunday, we went to Stinson Beach with the Ragots (Nico did his MBA with Xavier, who has two daughters - Luna and Salome - who like Mati a lot). Mateo played with the sand to his heart content, got his feet wet in the COLD water (and didn't like it too much, especially after he fell into the water - Nico's fault!!) and loved the sea gulls. He spoke French all day.
He's becoming quite the lady's man - he flirts a lot with ALL ladies, but he has a special liking to Emma, Xavier's wife. Mateo was walking around and she asked him to go give her a kiss. He walked over to her and planted a nice wet one on her cheek, then put his head on her leg and just fluttered those long eyelashes of his!!
Future American Idol???
It was really sunny, so on top of the sunscreen, we put his bib backwards.
