Happy Birthday Santi!!!

El guero, our cheeky, nosy-nosy, filou, Monsieur No, Santi, Santiago Max turned 3 ...  only three little fingers in his little hand, but he has such a BIG personality inside that bubbling body.  We celebrated like usual, with a party at home and another one at school.

At home, I had all his favorites: hummus, "shushi", cherry tomatoes, cupcakes.  His big present was a red bike which he immediately wanted to take downstairs to the park to ride.  At school, I invited the pre-Nursery (some of his old pals, who because of the age cut couldn't move on to Nursery, are there; and of course, Ms. Lucia and Ms. Rosa also had to be part of the celebration) and Nursery classes to lunch at school.  The celebration was short and simple.  I catered cheese empanadas and brought some sweet potato fries, cherry tomato salad, watermelon and cupcakes from home.  The birthday boy was extremely shy at first, but as soon as he sat down to eat next to his buddy Silvana, all was good.  After lunch, they broke the Lightning McQueen piñata. And then went back to their classrooms to take their nap.  So sweet!

Unfortunately, my camera died on me that very day (and hasn't resurrected)!  Luckily I had the iPhone, so while the quality is not the best, at least you get an idea of what a special day that was for our little guy.  Thank you to all who called and sent him messages.  He was really happy!
