El Guerito

El Guerito, aka Santi, turned 18 months on Monday!!! He's adorable, huggable, kissable, and super talkative. I took him to the pediatrician today for his checkup and here are the stats:
height: 87cm (above the 90th percentile)
weight: 10.9kg (50th percentile)

I try not to get wrapped up in the statistics, but I can't help swelling up with pride as the doctor tells me that in terms of his motor, social and cognitive skills he measures up to a two and a half year old!

Santi is sooo sweet, a lovely dovey, reminds me of Mati at this age. Also very observant, but more adventurous, more coordinated, and certainly more opinionated! He stills finds his brother to be the coolest person on Earth. When I tell him we are going, he automatically assumes it's to pick Mateo up, and with the biggest smile, he'll start saying, "Ma mi, Ma mi". This also means that he does exactly as Mati - so if Mati eats his lunch, Santi will too, if Mati shouts, so will Santi, if Mati jumps, Santi follows. It's very sweet!

New words in his vocabulary include:
ma mi = Mati
hose = horse
den u = thank you
ot = hot
huero (gringo style with the "r") = guero
anane = andale
aue = abue
geno = geno
aueita = abuelita

Other words: shirt, knee, main (hand), foot, apple ... and then ... the cutest of all ... he sings non-stop during the day. Who knows what it is he's saying, but he just sings and sings and sings!
