Santi is 5 months!

I can't wrap my head around how fast time is going by:  Santi already turned 5 months!  Our precious Michelin man is growing, growing, growing!!  At his last check-up, his pediatrician was in a bit of shock when she measured him: 70cm!!  She measured again, just to be sure.  The measuring tape wasn't wrong, this little guy is bound to be one tall kid!  His weight was at 7kg, which I'm totally feeling in my arms and back!!  

A quick progress report:

1.  TEETHING!!!!!  TEETHING!!!!  TEETHING!!!!  He has had difficult days (and nights!!) lately, finding no permanent solace in anything.   

2.  Rolling - about 2.5 weeks ago he rolled several times, both from his back to his tummy and vice versa, but then he stopped cold turkey and I'm still waiting for him to do it again.   I'm very vigilant now, though, about leaving him alone on top of his changing station, because who knows when Santi will decide to show off his rolling over skills!

3.  He has discovered his feet and loves to pull on his ears (oh no, another Mati!!).

4.  He still hates tummy time, although he accepts being in that position a bit more now.  So long as he finds entertainment in something, he can stand being belly down for a while; the hard part is finding that special something that will captivate his attention.  Lately, it's been watching Mateo's remote control car race up and down the living/dining room area.

5.  I started taking him to the park and loves going down the slide.  It's hard to put him on swings here because hardly any of them are designed for babies, but I've improvised a bit and he's also enjoying that a lot.
