My little guy will no longer be "little". He is fast moving up to become a boy because he is about to lose his FIRST tooth!!!!!! It's his lower right front BABY tooth. When Nico announced the news two nights ago, guess what??? I cried!!! Mateo, used to frequent display of emotions, just laughed and asked why I was crying. I'm SOOOOO not ready to let go of my baby!!!! (Can you imagine what a wreck I'll be when he goes off to college?????) And also, because I haven't bought the tooth fairy kit I had wanted on Etsy!!!!
He is very proud. And the good thing that'll come out of this is that he just might stop sucking his thumb!! Yesterday in the morning, as soon as I wake him up, he tells me that he didn't suck this thumb at all during the whole night!!
In other news, here's a little Mateoism:
The boys were deciding which soccer player they were going to be. The were both wearing their Barca outfits. Mateo, obviously, is Messi. And he was telling Santi he could be Chavez (is there a Chavez in the Barca???), and this is what else he said:
"Santi, you can be Chavez. Not the one who TALKS, and TALKS and TALKS on the radio that is the President of Caracas, but the REALLY GOOD soccer player Chavez!" When he said "TALKS" he changed his voice and dragged the words out in monotone! It was really funny!!
